Terms of Use
1. Operator and agreement
These Terms govern the Sufle: Video Teleprompter app (also shown on the App Store as Teleprompter Sufle) for iOS, iPadOS, macOS and visionOS, and its supporting website (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Individual Entrepreneur Tal Serhii at 37K Saksahanskoho Street, Kyiv, 01033, Ukraine (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
By downloading, purchasing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or another person, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for them.
2. Apple licence terms
The app is licensed, not sold. These Terms supplement the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) and Apple’s applicable App Store rules. If these Terms conflict with mandatory Apple licence terms for the app, those Apple terms control to the extent of the conflict.
3. Personal licence and permitted use
Subject to these Terms, the Apple Standard EULA, and the applicable purchase terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service. You may use the app only on Apple devices permitted by Apple’s Usage Rules.
Videos you record with the app are yours: you may use them for personal or commercial purposes. The licence restrictions concern the app itself, not your recordings.
4. Service features
The app provides a teleprompter with script editing, video recording with the device cameras, a built-in editor, export and sharing, optional iCloud synchronization of scripts, and a WiFi remote control that connects your own devices over the local network. Some features are available free of charge and some are unlocked by a subscription or a one-time purchase.
The app does not create a developer-operated user account. iCloud features rely on the Apple Account signed in on the device, and purchases rely on the Apple Account used with the App Store. Feature availability can depend on the device, OS version, camera hardware, and network conditions.
5. Your content and responsibility
You retain all rights you have in your scripts and in the videos you record. We claim no ownership of them, receive no copy of them, and receive no right to publish, sell, advertise with, train artificial-intelligence systems on, or otherwise exploit them. You authorize only the technical processing needed for the app and Apple’s iCloud service to store, synchronize, retrieve, edit, and delete your content at your direction.
You are responsible for your content and for your recording activity, including having the rights to any text you import and any necessary consent of people who appear in or are recorded by your videos, and for complying with the recording, privacy, and publicity laws that apply to you.
6. Auto-renewable subscriptions and trials
Weekly, monthly, and annual auto-renewable subscriptions unlock the app’s premium features while the subscription is active. The exact local price, currency, billing period, and renewal price shown by Apple before confirmation are part of the purchase terms. An annual subscription is billed at the full annual amount shown in the purchase flow.
Where Apple shows that an eligible user can redeem it, a subscription may begin with a free trial. Eligibility is determined by Apple and may be limited to one introductory offer per subscription group. At the end of the trial, the subscription automatically converts to the selected paid plan at the displayed price unless it has been cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected period until cancelled. Apple charges the Apple Account under its billing rules. Manage or cancel a subscription in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on iPhone or iPad, or in the App Store settings on Mac. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation stops future renewal and does not ordinarily remove access already paid for during the current billing period, subject to Apple’s rules and applicable law.
7. One-time purchases and the watermark
The app offers non-consumable In-App Purchases, including a lifetime unlock (“Forever”), which gives the purchasing Apple Account a non-expiring entitlement to the premium features, and a watermark removal purchase.
Videos exported without the watermark-removal entitlement (and outside an active premium entitlement that includes it) may carry a small Sufle watermark. The watermark-removal purchase removes it from subsequent exports.
A one-time purchase is a licence tied to the purchasing Apple Account, not ownership of the app. Restoration and availability remain subject to the Apple Account, Apple’s App Store services and rules, device compatibility, legal requirements, and continued operation of the Service. Mandatory consumer remedies remain available if purchased functionality cannot be supplied.
8. Restore Purchases
Use Restore Purchases in the app to restore eligible subscriptions and one-time purchases. Restoration requires the relevant Apple Account and a connection to Apple’s services.
9. Payments, taxes, and refunds
Apple processes App Store purchases, determines localized pricing and applicable taxes, and provides the transaction receipt. We do not receive complete payment-card information.
Refunds, reversals, and billing disputes are handled by Apple under its rules and applicable law. Requests can be submitted through Apple’s Report a Problem service. Nothing in these Terms limits a refund or other remedy required by applicable consumer law.
10. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- bypass paywalls, purchase validation, entitlement checks, the watermark, or other technical protections;
- copy, republish, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app, its design, animations, fonts, or other protected material, except as permitted by law or written permission;
- reverse engineer, modify, or create derivative works of the app except where applicable law or an open-source licence expressly permits it;
- use the Service to record or distribute content unlawfully or in violation of another person’s rights;
- interfere with the Service, iCloud synchronization, the remote-control connection, security, or another person’s use; or
- use the Service in any way that violates applicable law.
11. Intellectual property
The app, website, design, software, animations, bundled fonts (used under their own licences), branding, and arrangement of content are owned by us or used under licence and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. “Sufle” and the Sufle mark identify our Service.
12. Third-party and external services
The Service relies on or links to services operated by third parties, including Apple (App Store, In-App Purchase, iCloud), RevenueCat (purchase validation), the website hosting provider, and the support channels you may choose to use (email, Telegram, WhatsApp). Their availability and handling of information are governed by their own terms and policies.
We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their independent content, availability, or practices, except to the extent responsibility cannot be excluded by law.
13. Availability and changes to the Service
Internet, iCloud, App Store, and compatible device access may be required for synchronization, purchases, restoration, and updates; recording itself works offline. We may maintain, update, improve, or change the Service and its feature set. Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, security, network conditions, platform changes, or events outside reasonable control.
We may change or remove features where necessary for legal, rights, security, or technical reasons. We will respect non-excludable consumer rights and provide any remedy required by applicable law for paid functionality.
14. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, permanent availability of third-party services, successful synchronization in every network or account condition, or that a particular recording will meet your requirements. Test your setup before important shoots and keep backups of important footage.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from the Service or a third-party service, including loss of recordings or scripts caused by unavailable networks, iCloud settings, storage limits, device loss, or unsuccessful synchronization.
We do not exclude or limit liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, breach of non-excludable consumer rights, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
16. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. Subscription cancellation must be completed separately through Apple. Rights granted under these Terms end if you materially breach them, subject to any notice or remedy rights required by law.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, payment obligations already incurred, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute provisions — continue to apply.
17. Governing law and consumer rights
These Terms and the relationship between you and us are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without applying conflict-of-law rules, except that this choice does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections or access to courts available under the law of the consumer’s country of habitual residence.
Before starting a formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve the matter. This request does not limit any right to contact a regulator, consumer-protection body, data-protection authority, or court.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the Service, its business model, platform requirements, or law changes. The current version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated in an appropriate manner where required and will not retroactively remove rights already acquired through a completed purchase.
